The following pictures are from the beginning when photographs were used in
yearbooks. The band was under the direction of Ms Mary Carol Worthington
The
band was started in 1931. Here is a glimpse of the band . There were no recordings of the band from the early years but it
was known that the band did several radio concerts on WSYR radio broadcasts. Band music played during those years was very
traditional pieces .
Many of the early band alumni went on to music careers within the school district as well as became prominent citizens within
the Liverpool community.
